That would be my advice too but I did not want to push you into something if you were set on a cheaper truck gun.

Buying a drop-in direct from Lilja plus a matching Maxim bolt is cost effective and you have the guts of an Olympic-grade hunting/target rifle.

You can still get someone to put it together for you but you supply the barrel and bolt.

I recommend the clamping type of adjustable gas block for a better clamp and seal. No need for a dimple. SLR Sentry works for me but other types will too.

If you buy a decent upper you won't need to square it unless there's something wrong with it.
