Howa Mini Extractor/Headspace Issue

The Redding type ‘s’ bushing dies don’t use an expander ball. The intention is to use the bushing size that replicates your loaded round neck diameter, minus .002-.003”.

Lapua brass in Grendel anyway, is always short. I would load up a mid range load and fire it off to get a measurement of how much stretch you’re getting on the case. I’m surprised you had to even trim a virgin Lapua brass. In 10 years of shooting Grendel, I’m having trouble recalling ever having trimmed brass more than once.

Roger that. I figure I'll mostly have the decapping rod removed, but thought it was funny. Redding confirmed this am that my decapping rod isn't correct in length or expander ball size(should be .261). They're expediting immediately.

I'm going to venture out today for my chamber question. I think I can find somewhere to gouge me on ammo. I'm not that hopeful on finding someone with a No-go gauge.
