In my mind - Braces "Were SBR" - then Braces "Were Not SBR".
Worst case in my mind - "if" DOJ issue New Guidance that "Future Braces Are SBR" - no sweat my side.
In my Area - Braces Were Not SBR" - ATF Retail Enforcement Agents in my region became so callous - they had no issues with store retail ready inventory - with "pistols" with "braces" that were literally identical to some Fixed Tactical Stocks - as long as they had a Arm-Brace-Velcro Strap and were non-folding.
I filed for SBR on my Alexander the week after it arrived... Fingerprint Card... followed experienced Internet Forum Advice on how best to complete the SBR form - $200 credit card charge from ATF - in 6 weeks I had that Stamp and MUCH happier with the Folding Collapsible Tactical Stock I wanted over "brace"
Frankly future forward - worst case most likely could be "Braces Are SBR" again - anyone can conjecture - it is Politics today - to take the "Easier" route - with the Minimum Effort - that Will Produce A Loud Media "Win" - which "could be" to Issue/Administer/Enforce Changes Going Forward on Retail/Complete.... that's the ONLY area where ATF has any manpower at all for retail/visits/enforcement.
