It's largely enforceable, make no mistake. Which gun shop do you know that would not follow this, once it becomes law? Background checks are already in place throughout the country. The real danger here is exactly what Montana states. In addition, this bill isn't just for background checks. Like many bills, it goes far deeper than the headliner with the devil being in the details. Already, I find people sometimes selling ammo privately but wanting it to go through an FFL (some people, not all). And make no mistake, ammo is or will become Democrats' big target n their push for extreme restrictions on gun ownership. The danger here is the incremental nature leading up to gun ownership becoming illegal in America. Several major cities such as NYC are very selective on who is prosecuted for gun related crimes. Democrats are out to destroy the 2nd amendment, and gun crime is the last thing on their mind. Inner city crime and murders are at an all-time high, and laws such as this will have no effect on that, but instead, will have a chilling effect on those of us who do follow the laws. When these laws are proposed, our complacency does nothing but help Democrats in their push to make guns illegal in this country. This proposed law goes well beyond simple background checks, and should be seen as the tip of the icebeg.
