I have owned several Boyd stocks as well as the B&C stocks. In the beginning when I was just starting to figure things out, I would buy a Boyd to upgrade from cheap factory rubber stock. Eventually that was replaced with a B&C stock as a better/more stable platform for long distance or more durable for hunting. All of my CZ527's are now in B&C stocks and my Howa Mini is sporting one as well. I like the slightly larger size of the B&C on the mini's (still smaller than standard short action stock), and I especially appreciate the vertical style pistol grip on these petite rifles. With exception of one Ruger 10/22, all Boyd stocks have been sold or given away.
The next level in stocks/chassis is a big jump in price ($800-$1400), which makes the $300 for B&C look like a steal.
