Where in the scheme of things does the CLEO sign-off occur? Does the Sheriff need to know the make/model/SN before signing-off, or do you get the form signed first and then go shopping? Thanks, again.
If you are buying one it will be through a class 3 dealer and he will fill out the form 4. The law enforcement sign off is done on the same form so you need to talk to your dealer and ask how he wants to handle it. He should fill it out first.
