In the Bundy group in Oregon, the lead firearms trainer among one of the militia groups was a German national from the German intelligence service, pretending to be a US National and veteran.

They had shot at the truck earlier when they were driving on the road.
FBI claimed they never fired any shots, but it was learned that one of them had, then lied about it in his report.

You have to be very careful about setting up organizations that the Feds will usually plant their own agent provocateurs in.
