Another reason to thank President Trump

My argument about Trump’s accomplishments aren’t from a cult of personality, but from a dispassionate business and leadership assessment, bankruptcies included.

The material things are markers of performance at certain levels, not items to be envied or worshipped. You can’t be a dunce as a private entrepreneur and leader and maintain operation of these types of assets for so many years and things not fall apart. The 2 things don’t operate in the same world. You see dunces who benefit from nepotism with an elite lifestyle, but they are never able to maintain and grow it like Trump has.

This is why I mentioned all the people he has employed and given opportunities to. You can’t be a billionaire alone. There have to be multiple teams of A players growing that business, with employment positions that didn’t exist before the leader set out on his vision. For someone to be able to manage that kind of a business empire takes a set of skills that previous few people have. We’re talking about a tiny fraction of a fraction of a percent of the population.

Trump’s public image is more managed and crafted by him and his ability to brand. In private, he is described more as a very amicable, friendly guy, with moments of shrewd business decisions and unusual calling-out of people to destabilize situations for his benefit. He specializes in throwing people off-base when negotiating, and attacking people that attack him. The Larry King interview where he talks about telling someone he’s negotiating with that they have bad breath, then asking, “Has ever told them that?” is an example of him in shark mode, in a playing field of sharks. He comes into a negotiation from a position of dominance that isn’t expected, then gets into the person’s head by making them question their support base and followers. “Why hasn’t anyone told me I have rank breath? Do they fear me? Do they not respect me in a basic human condition of personal hygiene that I never realized was a problem?”

It isn’t him being an a**, it’s him playing in a pool of sharks. He enjoys that. It isn’t a character flaw or “reprehensible behavior” from a business perspective to me. If you go around like all the sheep and people who have been conditioned to just play along, you will never achieve anything.

Because of Trump’s personal vision just as an entrepreneur, he has created a market for tens of thousands of people by being a better shark most of the time. Visionaries make things happen for the benefit of others. He could have thought small and ridden his father’s coattails, but he had a much larger vision than that in business. As he saw politicians making terrible decisions for the Nation as a rule, especially when it came to trade, economics, and financial matters, he was urged on to do something about it, realizing that if he didn’t, much of what we have enjoyed would erode dramatically after multiple White Houses committing our resources to endless foreign campaigns with net negatives on investment measured in trillions, while Congressmen laugh to the bank on short-term self interests.
