So was the Hoppes not cleaning good? Maybe this is why I started seeing erratic groups. Now I will shoot a bad groups once and a while but not consistently. I just cant see me shooting 20 groups bad after I have been shoot 3/4 and 1. I have never got copper from any of the cleanings I have done. And I didnt yesterday either. What are you thoughts on this cleaning and Hoppes Bore Gel. I dont remember if it was elite but I dont think it is. Thanks in advance for any responses.

My thoughts on cleaning is to get some CLP on a Bore Snake and pull it through the barrel a couple of times. After a couple hundred rounds I may use a bore brush and some Hoppes #9 Plus. Why Hoppes #9 Plus? Because I got a couple of big bottles of it for free. Mostly I use CLP because I got a couple gallons of it for free as well.
Also, I have never found a clean barrel to shoot consistently. I think you are overcleaning the barrel and it wouldn't matter what solvent you are using. Shoot it dirty for a while and see what happens.
Let me also recommend you shoot it at 300 or at least 200 yards instead of 100. You will get a much more realistic appraisal of the performance of your ammo, equipment, and you at 300 or 200 than 100.
