I prep all my roll pins with a chamfer by chucking them in a drill and spinning them on a file.

It’s especially helpful with the bolt catch, trigger guard, and gas tube roll pins.

I use a large punch with the rubber o-ring placed near the tip so it stands off from the side of the receiver so I don’t damage the anodizing or Cerakote, which is also taped with thick tape as added insurance.

I took my Brownell’s bench block that was designed for Mil-Spec forged Front Sight Bases/Gas blocks, and modified it for low profile gas blocks.
