Ya these ar magazine platforms take some adjusting to. Those heavy sprung magazines definitely make the rar one that likes to be cycled with authority. I polished underside of my bolt a little and it does cycle perfectly with c-products 10 round. If you really go slow and easy on the last round it will pop out of magazine different than the previous 9 and miss the hole but not likely to be an issue afield just when you’re being lazy on the bench. Cycling with any normal speed that won’t happen. I like the tip about taking a little spring pressure off the magazine, just wouldn’t want it to get too weak and not drive the last couple rounds up although that seems unlikely considering just how stout ar magazine springs are...bolt actions don’t need that sort of pressure at all.

Also agree it would be nice to take the wiggle out of the magazine but it certainly doesn’t affect feeding. Overall I really like the feel and balance of this rifle. Trigger is great, easy to adjust or mod a little lighter. Hope to see some stainless options one day but as is I think it will stand up well and be a good workhorse. I run low weaver rings at 2.5 oz and Leupold fxII 6x36 at 9 oz and the balance is ideal. Better than factory Cz 527’s which are tail heavy by comparison...I really like how the ruger points and holds offhand, very stable. If you’re not happy with balance see about going to one of the smaller Leupold scopes like a Vx3i 2.5-8x36
