I would think 16” or 18” would do all you want. Welcome to the horde OMC!

Keep in mind, there are videos here and on YouTube where guys are shooting 12.5” barrels in 6.5 Grend out past 800 yards. Random? Yes? Likely? No, but possible.

16” would probably do you well and not sacrifice much, if anything.
