Warning - Bad Burris Rings Causing Bad Accuracy

What do you believe happened with the rings to cause the poor shots?

If the optic was secured in the rings, the rings secured to the base, and base secured to the rifle -- why would it be any of them that caused the poor shots?

I would guess uneven bearing surface of ring to scope, causing stress on the tube. Only thing I can think of.
