6.5 Grendel build inspired by the military SPR Mk12

I ground a little bit off the bracket, checked the fit and adjusted the angles on the sander. It worked pretty good and looks clean, not all lumpy and uneven:



The raw anodized finish on the scope and mount are "dry" as a bone and look bad. When everything is assembled on the rifle I'll use a few drops of Break Free CLP on my fingers and work it into the finish. But first I used some Krylon flat black to touch up the corners of the mount.

Now the little red dot sight fit fine:





Now I'll try to get a decent picture of the rifle with scope...........
