The 5.56 has more chamber pressure, more velocity, and greater throat temperatures than Grendel. Wouldn't it be the opposite? I can't speak for ARC, as I don't know the extent of it's typical pressures.
From everything I know, chamber pressure and it's relationship to bullet velocity is what creates "barrel burner" chamberings.
