Sure it could be chambered in a WSM but not advisable. The contender design has firing pins for rimfire an centerfire but that is not the issue. Contenders are not for that diameter cartridge and pressures.
That is going off of memory but I have been shooting Contenders for nearly 30 years and many different rounds and would not consider that as an option.
For Encore frames the rimfire barrel chamber is offset enough to use the same firing pin so like said it would not work.
