Imo a 20 barrel will be fine for taking Whitetail out to 500 yards. But your platform will need to be able to hit where you want. For that reason I really think a MOA or sub capable barrel is needed.
Some barrels will get you good accuracy to a couple hundred yards then for some reason take a shit out farther.

Mark at PF has a cut rifled barrel for 450.00 but if youve never wondered from him I believe its 10% off for first order and being a member here or its 5% off. Not sure on the barrel blank though and its a secret lol
