If the protesters had physically done something to the McClosky's, I would agree with you 100%. Producing the guns was fine (though tactically stupid on their part), but pointing the guns at the protestors is where the issue is of concern. Did they do that just because people were entering the community or did they have a credible threat?

Since the McCloskeys have a long history of hostility and aggressive behavior toward other members of their own community -- including threatening to shoot one neighbor for trespassing -- I'm going with "just because people were entering the community."

I have yet to see any credible evidence that protesters made threats to kill the McCloskeys.
