I have taken my 16 6.5 Grendel to 800 and ran out of elevation on my scope at 450 ASL. Most scopes run out of elevation at around 800-900 yards unless your well above sea level. I use 20 MOA canted scope mounts on my AR-15s and have a 25 MOA D.i.p. mount on my Cz 527 American 6.5 Grendel. If your going to shoot past 700-800 yards I recommend a canted mount which can be purchased for basically the same price as 0 cant one piece mounts.
