QD vs Direct mount suppressor

Klem,my silencerco came with a cover.I was looking into getting one for my Griffin GP7. But why spend up to $100 for a suppressor cover, when you can go to Harbor freight and spend $5.99 for a pair of welding gloves that work great. I already had a pair that I use for work on the truck,which is how I know they work.
Mel, I was told to get a 16 mm conical washer at Ace or True Value by acquaintances at the range.But, in a silencer shop video I saw on YouTube, they recommended not to use washers of any kind with a direct mount suppressor because it could throw off the alignment and cause baffle strikes. I’m not gonna argue the point either way. Because I have seen acquaintances at the range use them with no problem. I’m just gonna hold off on the washer for now.

my buddies can uses a spanner wrench on the barrel side he uses it to tighten it on the barrel with no washers or anything and it never comes loose on his he has to use the wrench when he wants to take it off
