I got decent results with the 75gr ELD's using CFE223 up to 3,050 fps, but the best loads were all running right around 2,900 fps. I have the a set of 30 rounds made up with the 95 gr SMK with the same CFE223, and I hope to get back out this weekend to see how they perform. I noticed when Hornady made their new 6mm ARC they shortened the case by .080, and I'm beginning to think they might be on to something. All of my best loads are at about 85% fill, and as the bullets get heaver, the fill is going down. It seems I won't get enough barrel time (or pressure) to push up to slower powders like RL16 and keep burnout before the barrel exit. I am having some fun though, and the feeding has been flawless. This makes a really nice varmint rifle, and it seems like it will be ok a bit past 1,000 yds.
