FLS, being from Florida you likely have had experience with hurricanes and such where there are runs on stores for supplies, and anti hording/price gouging rules/laws. So my question has a serious or practical side to it and I would expect the answers to be in a range, say 200 to a 1000 rounds.
Also, this is for home defense, not for practice or competition, and only for a time of crisis. I like ammo, lots of it! But I don't want to be one of those toilet paper hoarders either.
