Wow, Klem you sure make good arguments! One advantage from making a load at a velocity node/flat spot is that you have a more forgiving window for variables due to powder load variations (progressive press) and temperature changes.
I got to try it at least once and see how it works before giving up on it. If the results are not what I like, I'll just fill in the missed ladder points and no harm no foul.
