Welcome to the forum scott_co! Unless your hunting from a fixed location I think a 24” barrel is a little long. A Friend hunted antelope in Wyoming for a few years with a 24” Alexander Arms 6.5 Grendel but switched to an 18” 6.5 Grendel.
