Its possible, and I dont have any experience with what your thinking about doing but.........I do have the Ruger, Howa and CZ Grendels and all magazines are NOT created equal. Theres a reason why there are 6.5 Grendel and 233/5.56 specific mags!
Ill concede that Im comparing detachable with an internal box magazines but from my experience the Grendel feeding can be a bit finicky. While the OAL may be the same, the shape of the case is not. And Im sure you could eventually figure out a solution if there was an issue. Just think its a bit of a leap to assume that the 223 internal mag should work as is.
