scope suggestions for ELR

so what i wasnt is something like
5-24x minimum
8-32 or
say something in the max 42-45x power range


ideally i think 32 max mag will be enough ( as long as its clear) but i love magnification to me more is better
my biggest thing is elevation adjustment gota have alot lol
i can work with mildot and moa reticles so nothing big there

suggestions in the 1000-1200$ ish range ?

Generally speaking, high magnification (that’s actually useable) and low cost (relatively) are usually not compatible. It may be that higher quality glass with lower magnification is actually better, more useful than cheaper high power glass.

IMO, for the 42-45X power range your seeking, with glass that’ll actually make the higher magnification worthwhile, you need to consider possibly doubling your price range.

For lower magnification, and in your current price range the Athlon Ares ETR gets a lot of love for its clarity and tracking. I have one and it’s impressive for the price but it’s durability is still largely an unknown.

Even cheaper, I hear the Athlon Midas “TAC” models, and only the “TAC” models, have the same turrets and adjustment mechanism that the Ares does. Of course with its lower price point the glass quality and coatings will be a step down also from the Ares.
