I’ve used the non tipped SMK for a long time with great results in all my rifles. I tried the tipped SMK. I had to rework my loads and change the seating depth. I did not see enough improvement to justify spending more for the tipped SMK. In fact I like non tipped SMK better. And if I were going to spend more, I’d go w/Berger VLD target.
