LR55, this forum is like going to school. A place of learning new things, knowledge passed on from helpful friends. You are very likely correct that the difference in pressure/velocity from seating depth is of marginal importance but I enjoy trying to understand how things work.
I now have no idea if pressure goes up, goes down or goes up and down and up in a sine wave as seating depth increases and my lack of understanding bugs me a little bit!
