do you carry a spare complete bolt? or just a spare extractor? aside from the queries on the broken extractors, it seems once the gassing is resolved, however that occurs, that the only part that seems to break is the extractor. or else no one mentions if they had some other part break. seems a fairly reliable design.

Yes all of my grendels have a spare bolt for feild exchange in an emergency. But I do keep spare extractors at home as well.
I have never broken a bolt are extractor. One of my bolts I ran like a raped ape burning out 4 Alexander arms barrels trying to see if all the hype about weak bolts was true.
That bolt is in my 12.5 inch pistol grendel and has close too 2500 rounds on it in that barrel now.
Bottom line buy a good bolt sixfivearms,AA,PF,maxium and lapp the reciver face and keep the rifle tuned so it's not over gassing and don't run your reloads HOT and the grendel bolt and extractor will last a very long time. Even with steel cased ammo.
