Broken barrel extension lugs (or teeth) are far more rare than broken bolt lugs.
I only sell complete bolts, not individual extractors.
Yes, I would very much test at home the "field" removal of an extractor. I, personally, can't press hard enough with my thumb on the spine of the extractor to relieve the spring pressure enough to push it out. Many bolts these days, mine included, have a black O-ring added to the extractor spring, which increases the spring force making it difficult to use the military method of pressing down with your thumb and using the firing pin to push out the extractor pin.
