Super envy! I had chance to go hog hunting 2 nights ago on some E-Texas land. 400 acres in the middle of no where, surrounded by lands with nobody. But dadgumit, also no hogs. Still, it was nice to be out.
I will say, hog hunting without thermal, isn't easy either. I've gotten to mess with some thermal, and it's amazing, everything stands out like a beacon. Compared to cheap IR, green images in mono-chrome, at 50 yards tops, and it's pretty much just forget about it.
Good glass is nice, but hog hunting seems to be much more of a night-time opportunity than day-time, in my experience.
I love these video's! Convinces me that thermal is the single most important investment with hog-hunting. Silencer, gun, caliber, camo, etc; all are secondary investments, is what it's starting to look like!
