I’ve thought about building my own, carbon and Kevlar layered and vacuum bagged. That would be fun! Ideally an internal box magazine but Oregon has the hinged bottom metal and box mag, it weighs 3.66 ozs which is more than I’d like but... Kinda dreaming and engineering at this point. With some careful planning a sub 5lb is doable.
