With today's CNC machines, to replicate a previously manufactured barrel is a simple matter of pulling up the old program and producing the assembly. The cost to them would be minimal over their regular production and well worth maintaining their reputation. That they have not addressed this problem indicates that AA has serious corporate problems and should be viewed skeptically as a worthy supplier.
