I have always liked how smooth the action is on Lee Enfield rifles and once even considered converting one.* I am aware that part of the perceived slickness comes from the half-cock on opening, final-cock on closing of the bolt, but nevertheless.... Of the moderately priced actions on the market, which seem to have the smoothest operation?
