It's been two months since I shipped the barrel back to Alexander Arms.
I asked for an update a month ago and, as stated above, they replied at that time that their technician was waiting on more barrel extensions to come in to see if he could time one correctly with my barrel. That seems like the most cost-effective solution for AA, but the most unlikely to bring success with a precision barrel. (Well, "precision" may be inflating it. But a $200 barrel should be done right.)
I also noticed that they no longer list that fluted barrel on their website. Hmm.
I've sent them an email today to find out if there's any news. The reply was prompt. They are still waiting for the extensions.
It's been two months...I'm hopeful there'll be a solution sooner than later. I think Alexander Arms has a great reputation and will do what's right. (Whatever that ends up being.) I'm patient. This was my first Grendel. I hope it won't be my last.
