Found this forum while researching for a potential upgrade of my 18" 5.56 to Grendel. So far so good as I've reading a ton and letting it sink in. I got into the AR platform a few years ago when I purchased a Ruger MPR on a promotion when they first came out. I picked up another 16" AR so wifey and I can shoot at the same time during range trips. I've mounted a Vortex Huey on the 16" and I just purchased an Arken EP-4 4-16x50 for the 18". It is this 18" that I want to make into Grendel. As I do not have the resources to build my own upper I will either purchase a complete upper or swap out the existing 5.56 barrel for a Grendel. I'm on a budget so I'm thankful for this site as its giving plenty to think about.
