Yes and no. Given that you can push 140s at 744m/s, you might be able to push the 123s significantly faster than one would normally see in a Grendel, ergo my statement that factory Hornady Black 123gr is 2450 - 2500 fps (744-750m/s) out of my family of 4 Howa 1500 minis. Those faster speeds would keep them from going trans sonic shy of 1k meters.
The lower altitude is higher air pressure, and temperature is what will slow the bullet down faster.
My home altitude and where the one match that I shoot at runs a Density Altitude of 7k-10k. Lower pressure, less dense, less friction on the bullet to slow it down. Yours hangs around 0-3k depending on temperature (-5*c will get you a DA of 3k, 25*c will make it closer to 0).
Run your numbers in JBM Ballistics trajectory calculator, and you will see the difference that the altitude makes in the velocity loss.
I have unfortunately leaned that the trade off for running a heavier high BC bullet (in the smaller action rifles) is I can't push it as fast as the lighter brother, so any gains in the higher BC were given back in the lower velocity. Now I am out of 123gr ELD and have 950 of the 130gr ELD that I have to make work. This is why I am very interested in your results with the powders. I need to give them a try.
