Do not disagree with you at all. My advice is for someone who is not sure of their abilities.
For reloaders make several "dummy loads" that are loaded to same bullet-cartridge length- and OAL of Factory load such as Hornady. That's what I do and that way don't have to deal with using live rounds in the test.
