I have no idea if the firing pin protrusion is the same on AR-10 compared to the specification on the AR-15. Brownell’s sell a firing pin protrusion gauge for checking to see if the bolt and firing pin are within spec. The spec for Firing pin protrusion on AR-15 bolt .028” minimum, maximum .036”.
I’ve also read where some manufacturers of AR-10’s went to a smaller diameter firing pin tip and corresponding smaller hole in the bolt face. Supposedly they did this to help reduce the chance of punctured primers at higher pressures generated by larger case head of the 6.5 CM and other cartridges used in the AR-10.
Brownell’s does not list a specific firing pin protrusion gauge for the AR-10 but they do sell a universal firing pin protrusion gauge. You might be able to get the spec for AR-10 FP protrusion from Brownell’s technical or the manufacturer of the AR-10 BCG.
