Place the Keeper, Handguard Nut and Barrel Nut on to the Upper in that order. Apply Aeroshell 33 or equivalent on to the uppers threads and torque to minimum spec then go a bit further if needed to align the hole for the gas tube. Slide the Spacer over the barrel and then install your gas block and tube. That last bit is the one thing the LaRue instructions get wrong IMO. Trying to install the gas after the guard is secured can be quite difficult.
The BA micro gas blocks fit through the back of the LaRue guards just fine, be sure the gas tube roll pin is fully seated and the pin for the block is centered, that one is overly long and will block the guard if not centered or shortened.
I apply a bit of grease to the guard threads then assemble and tighten with a strap wrench. Apply some blue loc-tite to the lock screws and install and you are done.
