I bought a .223 when the Mini action first came out, and a Grendel not long after. For both, I cleaned them when new, tightened the screws, mounted a scope, and hit the range. Ran a couple patches down the barrel in between sight-in shots, then a few more after the first group. That?s all it took and they were already cleaning up quick, so I called it good. Don?t think either rifle has seen a cleaning rod in the last 3+ years, although I admit that my shooting time has fallen to nearly zero since we had our daughter ~2.5 years ago. Both Minis did shoot 4-shot groups of under an inch at a LRF verified 200 yards when I checked their zeros on a calm day a few weeks ago. I didn?t clean them then, either...
