With the great projectiles we have today and the distances I shoot in Georgia, I would not hesitate to deer hunt even with a SBR.
98% of my shots are under 75 yards, thinking about most of my deer have been killed under 50 yards
I have a tendency to worry much more about my shooting technique from various poor hunting shooting positions than how fast the bullet is going.
