I'm not sure it's that either. Because when I put 5 in the mag the top round is pointing at a good angle upwards. I think it's a case of mag slop fitment and the spring they used.

If you had the rifle magazine disassemble itself and spring came out? Try putting it back together with the magazine spring REVERSED. The spring may not be symmetrical in CZ mags, I had a feed problem after the first time I disassembled a magazine to clean it until I re did it other way 'round and everything worked fine again.

On my 7.62x39 CZ, I also had to lightly tweak the feed lips before it fed anything but steel case FMJ from a full magazine reliably, longer/less pointy bullets were jamming into back of barrel instead of feeding.
