You’re exactly spot on with testing your barrel beyond 3 shot groups .
Typically my standard are 5 shot groups when determining a barrel/rifle accuracy capability.
I’ve recently also been testing “hog hunting shooting simulations” where I shoot a string of 10 as quickly as possible (returning the point of aim to target) to see if the barrel/rifle string beyond an acceptable accuracy threshold.
All in all the Diamondback 10 shot groups stay under 2.5” and as you’ll see below a DRACOS straightjacket’ed barrel turned in a sub-MOA 10 shot continuous fire group.
Both of these barrels get the nod on hunting day !
Here is an example of what I try to recreate during the hog hunting simulated groups: hunting sounders of hogs will heat your barrel up fast - be ready by practicing this type of string of fire.
