I was reloading the Grendel when almost no load data was available (unlike today) I used powders like Benchmark that everyone said would blow up my rifles. Yet the load I developed was in what is now considered the safe range of Benchmark.
I would start at the starting load for TAC with the 120 SMK and shoot a ladder in .2 gr increments and use a chrono to look for pressure spikes. Test it and see.
