Grendel at extended ranges?

...For a long-range hunting bolt gun, I have been thinking about the .264 Win Mag more and more, with early childhood memories revived of me shooting through 2 1/2 ton Army truck axles with it, and watching the axle spin head over heel violently, then witnessing the through-and-through hole it put in said axle like it was a plasma ray gun. With a melonited barrel, it would be a longer throat life laser.

And the newer powders will make even more of a difference in velocity. Hodgdon 4831 was about the best available when my uncle used his in the late '50s and the '60s.
