Yeah, I can see how it can be perceived that way (that I exhibited a blatant disregard in heeding folk's offered advice). Simply put, as a freshly divorced man (who is starting over later in life (and needing a wicked good distraction from all the drama)), the budget just doesn't exist to go down those recommended paths ... just yet.
This is a multistage endeavor, and folk's kind advice have served to (favorably) shape what will be my next set of weapon/optics acquisitions - when I graduate from the rank of noob, and can say that I have learned, and that i received sound counsel along the way...
It's a process with me, and I am old enough to admit it for what it is, licking some small wounds and bearing a scar or three from my endeavors, is how I learn best.
And, I will have good reasons to buy more boy toys, while eventually making use of these items in a capacity they are ultimately better suited for. So it's not perceived, by myself at least, as an entire waste of time/resources, especially given I'll learn a thing or three along the way.
