Howdy,
Just noticed yesterday that my E-Lander 24's bind up something fierce with rounds nose-diving with Wolf, Hornady American Gunner, and Nosler Match rounds. From the episode last night, I am inclined to think that the nose of the bullet is contacting the front wall/seam of the mag. Though, strangely, they don't seem to have this problem with the Hornady Black or SST. New to AR's really, and no decent calipers, thoughts on how to check the inside and welds for OAL? Suggestions for a decent set of calipers - who/what/where?
I'll cycle the mags with a dowel to "break in" a bit. Leaving them loaded for several months didn't actually do anything.
No problems with the E-Lander 10's or 4's (5's). Some problems with the E-Lander 17's, but might have rectified itself at this point.
No problems with this type of issue on the ASC or C-Prod 10's.
Anyone liking the ASC or C-Prod in larger sizes? Or anything else for that matter? Are the AA mags different than the E-Landers?
