I wear them also. But the APA has the concussion wave, the M4-72 also (that one was like a prop wash to me). the 6.5 gamma, not so much. It is louder than without, but not really a blast, just louder. I use double hearing pro in my indoor shooting range, but the single, electronic (still a muff-type) while outside is fine.
