Got to take it out shooting for the first time this weekend. I think my gasblock is off just a little bit. It wouldnt cycle even with the gas block all the way open. But strangley after about 80 rounds thru it started cycling when a full mag was inserted. Mag was a 17rd elander. Didnt have a way to pull the handgaurd to get to the gasblock screws to try amd rotate it. I started off zeroing with 123gr american gunner and did a 5 shot group with that. Then i proceeded to shoot (3) 5 shot groups with 123gr american gunner, AA 123gr lapua scenar, federal GMM 130gr berger. It shot decent with all 3 different ammo, nothing extraordinary. The wind was gusting from 10-20 mph the whole time i was out. Im sure a lot of the issue with the groups opening was me. I puller my atlas off my ar10 and used that shooting off a camping table. The best group was shot with the scenar at 5/8 moa. The groups with the american gunner averaged 1- 1/2moa with the last group opening to 2- 1/2moa. The federals averaged around 2moa. I think these groups can be tightened up. Either way i plan on buying a 12" krieger from PF and using this barrel for a build for my wife.
I then put my plate up and went to 400yards. First round impact, 2nd round impact 3.4 mils. Only did 2 shots since i was short for time. I was supposed to be getting ready for a funeral. I then had a little fun with my vudoo 22 and was dinging the plate at 400 with that. 19.8 mils elevation and 7mils for wind. I then went out to 600 yards. First round impact 6mils for elevation. 600 yards was about the max i could get consistent hits with this barrel and shooting the 123gr american gunner. I shot this ammo because this is the ammo i had inputed in jbm balistics. Id be interested to see how the other 2 do in the future. I then went back to 800 yards. The american gunner and myself was having a hard time with the wind at this distance. I did happen to get 2 impacts but that was out of about 15 shots. I was rushed and didnt write down my elevation but it was around 9.8 mils. I did shoot 3 rounds of the scenar at this distance and with the higher bc it was shooting quite a bit higher with the dope i had. Im excited to dive into this round more and have some fun with it. I took it out for some coyotes but didnt see any that werent too close to houses. I did shoot some prarie dogs with my 22 at around 150-200 yards.
